Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) of grade 1 students at MA Al-Munawwarah Pekanbaru. Learning motivation is one of the important psychological factors that is believed to affect students' academic achievement, especially in value-based learning such as PAI. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data was collected through a learning motivation questionnaire and documentation of student learning outcomes, with a total of 48 students. Data analysis was carried out using the ANOVA test and Pearson correlation with the help of SPSS software. The results of the study showed that there was a significant and positive relationship between learning motivation and PAI learning outcomes. A correlation coefficient value of 0.724 with a significance of 0.000 indicates a strong relationship level. These findings indicate that the higher the students' motivation to learn, the higher their learning outcomes will be. This conclusion is reinforced by observational data and interviews with PAI teachers, which show that highly motivated students are more active, diligent, and show greater engagement in the learning process. This study suggests the importance of learning strategies that are oriented towards increasing students' learning motivation as a strategic step in improving the quality of religious education in schools.
