Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the thoughts of Ustadz Bendri Jaisyurrahman on the role of fathers in parenting and its relevance to strengthening character education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This era is marked by advances in digital technology that bring major changes in the social, cultural, and educational systems of families. In this context, fathers no longer play only the role of breadwinners, but also as the main figures in the formation of children's character. The phenomenon of fatherless society that is starting to increase in Indonesia is a serious challenge for the character development of the younger generation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a content analysis method of the works and ideas of Ustadz Bendri Jaisyurrahman, such as the book Ayah Tumbuh Bersama Anak dan Ayah, Jadi Pemimpin yang Dirindukan, as well as his lectures and digital content. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model through the process of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Bendri Jaisyurrahman emphasizes the concept of Fathering Leadership, namely father leadership based on affection, moral example, and effective communication. This concept aligns with the objectives of Strengthening Character Education (PPK), especially in fostering religious values, responsibility, and digital literacy in children in the 4.0 era.
