BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING BAGI ANAK DISABILITAS INTELEKTUAL: LITERATUR REVIEW

This study aims to systematically review the concepts, models, and practices of guidance and counseling for children with intellectual disabilities, both in the context of general education and Islamic education. This study uses a systematic literature review method by examining articles from various databases such as ERIC, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Garuda Dikti for the period 2015–2025. The results of the review indicate that humanistic counseling, behavioral counseling, and solution-focused brief therapy are the most relevant approaches to help children with intellectual disabilities develop social, emotional, and independence skills. In the Islamic context, Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) is an important approach because it emphasizes the balance between psychological and spiritual aspects through the values of monotheism, patience, and gratitude. Collaboration between counselors, teachers, and parents has also proven to be a determining factor in the success of inclusive counseling services. In general, the results of the study indicate that sustainable counseling services integrated with spiritual values can improve the psychological well-being, adaptive behavior, and meaning of life for children with intellectual disabilities. This study is expected to serve as a conceptual reference in the development of Islamic-based guidance and counseling models in inclusive schools in Indonesia
