Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of teacher readiness and competency in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Negeri 16, Bengkulu City. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the principal and teachers in grades I to VI. The results showed that, in general, teachers were highly enthusiastic about implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, but several obstacles remained in aspects of lesson planning and the use of digital-based teaching tools. Teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies have developed, but improvements are needed in technological literacy and the development of formative assessments. Supporting factors for implementation include principal support and curriculum training from the Education Office, while the main obstacles are limited digital resources and the unequal understanding of the Merdeka Belajar philosophy. This study recommends the need for ongoing training and collaborative-based academic supervision.
