Abstract

The transformation of education through the Independent Curriculum has shifted the paradigm of early childhood learning in Indonesia toward a more learner-centered approach. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in the digital era from the perspective of teachers and parents. Using descriptive qualitative methods, the study was conducted at three PAUD institutions in Bengkulu City, involving six teachers and ten parents. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, observations of learning activities, and analysis of curriculum documentation. The results show that teachers have a conceptual understanding of the Independent Curriculum, but still face technical obstacles in its implementation, particularly related to the integration of digital technology. Parents are highly enthusiastic about the concept of independent learning, but limited digital literacy hinders their active participation in their children's learning process. The use of digital technology in PAUD has proven effective in increasing child engagement, despite still being hampered by facilities and internet networks. Collaboration between teachers and parents is a key factor in the successful implementation of this curriculum. The study recommends increasing digital literacy training for teachers and parents and strengthening partnerships between schools and families to support the sustainable implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the digital era
