PENGGUNAAN METODE STORYTELLING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SKI DI TPQ AIKAL KOTA BENGKULU

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the storytelling method in learning Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at TPQ AIKAL Bengkulu City. SKI is an important component in Islamic religious education that functions to instill moral and spiritual values through Islamic historical stories. However, conventional approaches that are textual and one-way are often considered less interesting by early childhood. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores the experiences of teachers and students in the SKI learning process using the storytelling method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study showed that storytelling increases interest in learning, deepens understanding of Islamic values, encourages active participation of students, and encourages teacher creativity. In addition, this approach strengthens the emotional relationship between teachers and students and supports character formation effectively. The storytelling method has been proven to touch the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of children holistically. The implications of this study encourage the integration of storytelling in the TPQ curriculum and teacher training to be able to design and convey stories effectively. In conclusion, storytelling is a method that is not only fun but also meaningful and has a positive impact on early childhood Islamic education.
