Abstract

This study aims to understand the implementation of tauhid (monotheism) education as well as its supporting and inhibiting factors. The research uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation, and data validity is tested through triangulation. The results show that tauhid education is implemented through Aqidah lessons by teachers and activities that instill tauhid values in students. Students are taught to believe that Allah SWT is the only God who created the universe and possesses the most noble and perfect names and attributes. The supporting factors for this implementation include teachers who understand the Salafi manhaj and cooperation between teachers and students. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the lack of understanding and limited active role of parents in supporting the practice of obligatory and sunnah worship at home. Tauhid education has a positive impact in increasing students’ faith and piety towards Allah SWT and in shaping religious character in daily life.
